Privacy Policy
Effective Date: January 30, 2025 | Last Updated: February 2, 2026
Introduction and Scope
This Privacy Policy ("Policy") describes how Juno Mobile Applications ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information in connection with the FileFlip desktop file conversion application ("FileFlip," "Application," or "Software") and our website located at https://www.fileflip.space (the "Website").
This Policy applies to all users of FileFlip, regardless of how the Software was obtained (Microsoft Store, Apple App Store, Snap Store, or direct download) and regardless of geographic location.
Summary: FileFlip is designed as an offline-first application. We do not collect, store, transmit, or have access to any of your personal data or the files you process through the Software.
1. Data Controller Information
For the purposes of applicable data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), the data controller is:
- Entity Name: Juno Mobile Applications
- Contact Email: junomobileapplications@gmail.com
- Website: https://www.fileflip.space
2. Information We Do Not Collect
FileFlip is engineered with privacy as a foundational principle. We do not collect any personal information through the Software. Specifically:
- No Personal Identifiers: We do not collect names, email addresses, postal addresses, phone numbers, social security numbers, or any other personally identifiable information ("PII").
- No Account Registration: FileFlip does not require you to create an account, register, or sign in to use the Software.
- No Usage Analytics: We do not collect analytics data, usage statistics, session duration, feature usage patterns, or any behavioral data.
- No Crash Reports: We do not automatically collect crash reports, error logs, or diagnostic data.
- No Device Information: We do not collect hardware identifiers, device fingerprints, operating system information, or IP addresses through the Software.
- No File Content: Your files, their contents, metadata, filenames, and file paths are never uploaded, transmitted, or accessible to us.
- No Cookies or Tracking: The Software does not use cookies, web beacons, pixels, local storage tokens, or any tracking technologies.
- No Third-Party Analytics: We do not integrate Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude, or any other analytics services in the Software.
3. Application Permissions and Capabilities
FileFlip requires certain system permissions to function as a file conversion utility. We are committed to transparency about why these permissions are necessary:
3.1 File System Access
FileFlip requires access to read and write files on your device for the following purposes:
- Reading Source Files: To access files you select for conversion from any location on your device that you specify.
- Writing Output Files: To save converted files to the destination folder you choose.
- Temporary File Creation: To create temporary working files during the conversion process, which are automatically deleted upon completion.
Important: FileFlip only accesses files that you explicitly select through the file picker dialog. The Software does not scan, index, or access any files beyond those you actively choose to convert.
3.2 Full Trust Capability (Windows/Microsoft Store)
On Windows, FileFlip utilizes the "runFullTrust" capability. This is required because:
- FileFlip is a desktop application built with Tauri framework that requires native system access for file operations.
- The Software invokes local conversion engines (such as FFmpeg for audio/video conversion) that operate as native processes.
- File conversion operations require direct file system access that cannot be accomplished within a sandboxed UWP environment.
- The capability enables FileFlip to read from and write to any user-accessible location on the file system, which is essential for a file converter utility.
This capability does not enable any network communication, data collection, or transmission of information to external servers.
3.3 No Network Access Required
FileFlip does not require internet connectivity for any of its file conversion functions. All processing occurs locally on your device using locally installed conversion engines.
4. How Your Files Are Processed
Understanding how FileFlip handles your files is essential to understanding our privacy practices:
- Local Processing Only: All file conversion operations are performed entirely on your local device using your device's processor and memory.
- No Cloud Processing: Files are never uploaded to any cloud service, remote server, or external processing system.
- No Internet Required: An internet connection is not required for any conversion operation.
- Source File Preservation: Original source files are never modified, altered, or deleted unless you explicitly choose to overwrite them.
- Temporary Files: During conversion, temporary files may be created in your system's temporary directory. These files are automatically deleted when the conversion completes or when the application closes.
- Output Location: Converted files are saved only to the output location you specify.
- No Retention: We do not retain, cache, or store copies of your files anywhere.
Technical Impossibility: Due to our architecture, we have no technical capability to access, view, retrieve, or analyze your files. The Software contains no code paths that transmit file data externally.
5. Third-Party Software Components
FileFlip incorporates open-source software components for file conversion. These components operate locally on your device:
5.1 FFmpeg
For audio and video file conversions, FileFlip may utilize FFmpeg, a widely-used open-source multimedia framework. FFmpeg:
- Operates entirely locally on your device
- Does not collect, transmit, or report any data
- Is licensed under LGPL/GPL (see FFmpeg License)
- Processes files only in memory and local storage
5.2 Tauri Framework
FileFlip is built using the Tauri framework, an open-source framework for building desktop applications. Tauri:
- Does not include any telemetry or analytics by default
- Does not transmit application usage data
- Is licensed under MIT/Apache 2.0
5.3 No Third-Party Services
FileFlip does not integrate with, connect to, or transmit data to:
- Advertising networks or ad exchanges
- Data brokers or data aggregators
- Social media platforms
- Analytics or tracking services
- Customer relationship management (CRM) systems
- External APIs for processing functionality
6. Information Collected by Distribution Platforms
When you acquire FileFlip through a third-party distribution platform, that platform may collect information pursuant to its own privacy policy. FileFlip is available through:
6.1 Microsoft Store
Microsoft may collect purchase information, account details, and device information for licensing purposes. FileFlip does not receive personally identifiable information from Microsoft. We receive only anonymized confirmation of valid licenses.

9. Data Security
Our primary security measure is data minimization: we cannot lose, breach, or misuse data we never collect.
For support communications, we employ reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect the information you provide.
Because FileFlip processes files locally on your device, the security of your files depends on your own device security. We recommend:

- Implementing strong authentication on your device
- Following your organization's security policies where applicable
- Using reputable antivirus/anti-malware software
10. Children's Privacy
FileFlip complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the GDPR provisions regarding children's data, and similar laws worldwide.
- FileFlip does not collect personal information from any user, including children under 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction).
- Because no data is collected, no parental consent mechanisms are required.
- The Software is suitable for users of all ages.
- If you believe we have inadvertently received information from a child, please contact us immediately.
11. International Data Transfers
FileFlip does not transfer personal data internationally because:
- The Software does not collect or transmit personal data.
- All file processing occurs locally on your device.
- Your data never leaves your device or your jurisdiction.
For support communications, emails may be processed by email service providers with servers in various locations. Such transfers are conducted in compliance with applicable data protection laws.

If we receive a legal demand for information we do not possess, we will respond accordingly and, where legally permitted, notify affected users.
Our Privacy Commitment
FileFlip was built on a fundamental belief: file conversion should be private. In an era where many applications harvest user data for advertising, analytics, or resale, we chose a different path.
Privacy by Design: FileFlip's architecture makes data collection technically impossible, not just policy-prohibited. Your files never leave your device. We have no servers receiving your data. We have no databases storing your information. This is privacy by design, not privacy by promise.
Your files are your business. We don't want your data, we don't need your data, and we've built our software so we technically cannot access your data.
